Privacy Policy
How Revopay and its products collect, use, share and protect personal information, and the choices you have.
Version 1.0 · Last updated 15 October 2026
The short version
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Our products show no ads.
- Each product collects only what it needs to work. A product that doesn't need your location, contacts or ID never asks for them.
- We never ask for your card numbers, PINs or banking passwords. Payments are handled by the app stores and licensed payment processors.
- People, not algorithms, make the decisions that matter: automated checks only flag or suggest, and a person, or you, decides.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and you can delete your account from inside each app.
Each product also has its own policy with the full detail: HelperHub (in the HelperHub app), Joinly (joinly.revopaytech.com/privacy) and FinTrack (fintrack.revopaytech.com/privacy).
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Revopay (Private) Limited ("Revopay", "we", "us") is a company incorporated in Zimbabwe, at 23 Harare Street, Harare. We build and operate HelperHub, Joinly and FinTrack, and run this website, revopaytech.com. For the personal information described here, Revopay is the controller (in some laws, the "data controller" or "responsible party").
This policy describes how all of our products handle personal information. Each product also has its own privacy policy with the specific detail for that product: exactly which fields it stores, its retention periods and its providers. Where a product's own policy is more specific than this one, the product's policy applies to that product. Where a law gives you more protection than either, that law applies.
2. What we collect
Across our products
- Account details: such as your email address, and where a product needs it, your name, phone number or a display name. Some products let you browse without an account at all.
- What you create or share in a product: listings, bookings, financial records, reviews, reports, messages and photos you choose to upload.
- Payment and subscription records: what you bought, its status and the reference from the app store or payment processor. We never receive full card or banking credentials.
- Device and technical information: device type, operating system and app version, and on our websites standard server logs such as IP address and browser type.
- Crash and error reports, kept to the technical minimum needed to fix problems.
- Messages you send us, by email, phone or in-app support.
Product by product
| Product | What it collects beyond the basics | What it does not collect |
|---|---|---|
| HelperHub (home services) | To keep clients and helpers safe: identity verification for helpers (including National ID details and document images), location while you post or carry out a job, in-app messages between clients and helpers, ratings and reviews, skills and badge information, and wallet and earnings records. | Your location outside of posting and active jobs. |
| Joinly (community directory) | For people browsing: an anonymous identifier and the city, languages and interests you choose, plus saved listings, reports and anonymised usage counts. For group owners: email address, listings and moderation records. | Your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, or any messages in the groups you join. |
| FinTrack (personal finance) | The financial records you choose to enter (accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, savings-group records), receipt photos you scan, and your membership in shared workspaces. | Access to your real bank, mobile money or crypto accounts, your location, your contacts, and your app-lock PIN or biometrics, which never leave your phone. |
This website
revopaytech.com has no sign-in and no forms. It keeps standard server logs for security and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.
3. How we use it, and why we are allowed to
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Provide each product: create and run your account, show and store what you create, process bookings, listings, records and subscriptions | Needed to perform our contract with you |
| Send the messages a product needs: sign-in codes, booking and listing updates, receipts, reminders | Needed to perform our contract with you |
| Keep people safe: verify identities where a product requires it, moderate content, prevent fraud and misuse, resolve disputes and enforce our terms | Our legitimate interest in safe, trustworthy services, and legal obligations |
| Find and fix crashes and errors, and understand in aggregate how products are used so we can improve them | Our legitimate interest in working products |
| Meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests | Legal obligation |
| Anything optional, such as marketing messages or optional data uses a product asks you about | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Some laws treat certain information as sensitive, such as financial records, identity documents or precise location. Where a law requires it, we process that information only with your explicit consent, given when you sign up for the feature that needs it, and only for that feature.
Automated tools
Our products use automated tools to assist, not to decide on their own. For example, Joinly's automated checks only flag listings for a person to review, and FinTrack's receipt reading only suggests details for you to confirm. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
5. International transfers
Our service providers may store or process information outside the country where you live, including in the European Union and the United States. When information leaves your country, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as contractual commitments from the provider, standard contractual clauses, or, where the law allows, the fact that the transfer is needed to provide the service you asked for. You can ask us for details at legal@revopaytech.com.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then delete or anonymise it. The exact periods depend on the product and are set out in each product's policy. In general:
- Account information is kept while your account is open.
- When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep it longer, as described below.
- Some records must be kept for longer to meet legal, tax, accounting or financial-regulation requirements, or to prevent fraud, resolve disputes and enforce our terms. Examples are payment and transaction records, and the identity verification records HelperHub keeps for helpers.
- Records that other people rely on, such as entries in a shared FinTrack savings group, may remain in that shared space without your name.
- Usage, log and crash data is kept for limited periods and, where possible, only in aggregate.
- Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for a short period until those backups expire.
7. How we protect it
- Information is encrypted in transit, and our databases and file storage are encrypted at rest.
- Access is enforced inside the database itself, so each person can reach only the information their account is entitled to.
- Secret keys stay on our servers and never reach the app or your browser.
- Our staff and providers have access only where their work needs it.
- Products that handle especially sensitive information, such as identity documents, apply additional protection described in their own policies.
No system is completely secure. If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and tell you what we are doing about it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- delete it, subject to the legal retention obligations above;
- receive it in a portable, machine-readable format;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- withdraw your consent where we rely on it;
- complain to a data protection authority.
You can do much of this yourself in each app, including deleting your account. For anything else, email legal@revopaytech.com and tell us which product your request is about. We will confirm it is really you before acting, and we aim to reply within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. Exercising your rights is free unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Some information belongs to others as much as to you, such as a review you received or a shared savings-group record. If you ask us to change or delete it, we will balance your rights against theirs and explain our decision.
9. Information for certain regions
- Zimbabwe: we process personal information in line with the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]. You may complain to the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), the data protection authority.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: the legal bases in section 3 are those of the GDPR and UK GDPR. You may complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
- South Africa: we process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. You may complain to the Information Regulator.
- Elsewhere: if your local law gives you rights not listed here, write to us and we will honour them.
Some products serve additional regions and set out further region-specific rights in their own policies.
10. Age limit
Our products are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will close it and delete their information. If you believe this has happened, contact support@revopaytech.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our products or the law change. The version and date at the top show the latest change. For a significant change, we will tell you in the relevant app or by email before it takes effect, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
